What kind of tree/shrub is this?

I bought this tree/shrub in October of 2006 at Wal Mart. It has very soft, almost felt-like leaves and purple flowers that blossom so far continuously. I live in Florida, so we don't have a real winter, but there was frost this year and it survived that. The plant is about 3 feet high so far and it looks like a mini tree. It was on sale and didn't come with an information tag, so I'm at a loss as to what kind of plant this is. (It's already been transplanted into the ground or I'd take it to a nursery to be identified.) Any help would be greatful. Thanks.

The information provided is insufficient for correct dignosis
Reply:Do you have a link to a photo of the plant? If not, then you'll need to provide more details in the description.

Leaves: What color are the leaves? What shape? What size? How are the leaves arranged on the stems? Are the veins in the leaves parallel, or do they form a network?

Flower: How big is the flower? Are the petals fused into a tube or separate? How many petals are there? Is the flower bilaterally symmetric (two mirror-image sides), or radially symmetric (round like a wheel)? What do the parts inside the flower look like?

Stem or trunk: What color is the trunk? Does it appear woody? If so, then what does the bark look like? Is there a single main upright stem, or a lot of stems?

Branches: Are there a lot of branches, or just a few? Do the branches stick straight out to the side, or do they point upward?

If you are able to answer most (not necessarily all) of these questions, then a reader such as myself should be able to identify your plant for you.
