I live in Michigan on 3 acres. My property is mostly clay and I have deer frequently. I'm looking for something that grows fast and thick.
What shrub makes a great barrier from my neighbor?
You might want to try arbor vitae. These are bushy, tall tree-like shrubs that can grow up to 15 feet or more. Planted about 4 feet apart, they will grow into a nice wall, so you don't have to see your neighbors. Good luck. I wish I didn't have to see my neighbors, but there isn't anything I can do. We share a driveway.
Reply:Blue Spruce
Reply:Leyland Cypress are the fastest growing shrub/tree I have ever seen. They are strong, graceful, soft and thick. Perfect for Privacy planting.
