Can you recommend a flowering shrub for N.E. area that stays small and blooms most of the summer? Thanks!?

I need a small bush/shrub to plant at a gravesite in the New England Area....... thanks to all!

Potentilla fruticosa aka Potentilla, aka Bush Cinquefoil will bloom pretty much the entire summer and will tolerate the neglect it will receive at a gravesite with regard to water.

They come in white, red, pink, yellow and orange.

Second plant would be Buddleia davidii, Butterfly bush, BUT you'll need a dwarf variety. This will bloom from June into October. Adonis Blue and Peacock are two examples. Call around.
Reply:If the area is sunny, try a perennial such as catmint. It looks similar to a small bush and doesn't need much water. And the purple blooms last for most of the summer. Hope that helps!
