It is best grown with some shelter from cold winds and in full sun, and makes an excellent wall shrub, where its silky grey-green foliage, delicate and laburnum-like, looks effective against brickwork and can reach 5.5m (18ft). Reply:Think it is called pineapple scented broom. If it grows up the side of your house like a wisteria. Long racemes of yellow flowers that smell like those pineapple sweets you can get. Not fully hardy but if you live near the coast or down South should be OK.
Reply:Unsure really, could be pineapple sage - grows like ordinary garden sage bush/shrub, leaves and stem a little furry, leaves when bruised smell of pineapple and tastes of pineapply too - can be used in salads.
